It’s the season of growth and change, even here at Soul-Lit! Co-founding editor, Deborah Leipzeiger, is stepping back from Soul-Lit and moving on to new publishing and teaching adventures. Please see Wayne-Daniel’s words of tribute to Deb below. Soul-Lit would not exist without her dedication and devotion. Those are big shoes to fill as I step up from guest editor to co-editor with Dr. Wayne-Daniel Berard, beloved Soul-Lit co-founder and this issue’s featured poet. See the Feature section for Wayne-Daniel’s words – both an interview and his beautiful poetry. Additionally we have many treasures in this edition, ever-expanding the depth and breadth of the meaning of spiritual poetry in our own words. Thank you to this issue’s poets, our webmaster, Rob Schadt, and to the hard work of our intern, April Dylewicz. We couldn’t do it without you.

An Appreciation
Soul-Lit's founding co-editor, DeborahLeipziger, will be stepping down after this edition. It is fair to say that without Deb's vision, dedication, and hard work Soul-Lit would have never become a reality. But beyond what is fair to say, there is what is amazing, enlightening, and soul-sustaining to experience -- and Deb has been and continues to be all this and more! Her poetic gifts (and her gift for nurturing the same in other poets) spring from a nature as generous and open as her own incredible poetry. Deb, may you go from strength to strength. We are all grateful.
