Nana’s Mirror

Looking into Nana’s mirror—
silver hieroglyphed with years,
as I am now—I touch

the cracks, wounds etched
by neglect and its echoes.
My finger traces them, leaves

gold behind—filling,
mapping a yes to what
can yet be holy.
