Love Poem
I wish I could have you
this way, just for a moment—
quiet evening
our hands entwined
skin touching skin
under the twilight sky
full of swallows
their slim pointed wings
strobing the violet light
over us
into a fugue.
Ruth Chad is a psychologist who lives and works in the Boston area.
